Hey, it’s Callum,
Hope you’re killing it where-ever you are!
Got something cool for you:
I just spoke to a viral Creator who grew from 0 to 100k in 18 days on TikTok.
He’s mastered going viral.
Millions of views a month consistently.
I wanted to share the 80:20 of his process if you want to do the same in 2024:
It all starts with…
Test, Test, Test:
To go viral you must find your format.
Test for 2 months, post 2 to 3 times a day, to assess the algorithm and discover what you enjoy creating.
Once you find your format, start posting once a day.
Double down and build a system, then add something unique to deter others from copying.
“90 is the hook, and 10% is how to deliver that hook”
The hook is a crucial component for content to go viral.
Charlie told me the 3 hooks he uses.
I’ve added one extra because I love you guys.
The Hooks - 3+1:
Yup.
That’s a lot of hooks.
What type of content should you create?
Charlie found his Niche content was too niche and never caught the algorithm.
He had to go broader.
Go wide then build some depth in later.
What metrics is he tracking?
Watch percentage (determines how many people are watching your video until the end)
Views per hour (tells you if you have a winner or need to try again)
How much is he making?
He wouldn’t tell me, but he did say:
A good brand deal values a creator
As a rule of thumb, calculate 0.003 times the number of followers you have; this gives the cost per video that you can charge for TikTok
For Instagram, aim for a more premium price, and for YouTube, even more so
Add-ons can include links in bio, paid media usage rights, organic usage rights, story sets, exclusivity as a partnership, time-based collaborations (e.g., a 3-month collaboration), and brand ambassadorship.
Affiliate marketing can be lucrative
He’s starting a talent agency for Creators… so it’s fair to say he’s probably making bank!
His biggest regrets?
To save us a lot of time, he suggests avoiding these 3 major mistakes:
Want to think more like Charlie?
