This is a useful breakdown, but I think it attributes too much to the writing alone. I followed Lara from early on and the consistent use of a selfie (which had nothing to do with her post) alongside posts was also part of the strategy. We often analyse copy while ignoring the packaging that gets people to stop scrolling in the first place.

It sells look at Instagram I believe if you really want to sell you have to show your face as someone in sales I find even a face to face meeting over teams so much stronger. She used it as it’s a brand card as most who find her for the first time have not seen the other 200 faces she posted before it the brain is hard wired to clock the consistency of the face. I also think we are bias to how people look so would a 50 year old man get the same following if he used the formula - you raise an interesting point

I’ve followed her journey since I joined LinkedIn in feb 2024.

She had all of the ingredients to build on of the strongest brands I have sein on Linkedin.

I already have this one queued up! Can’t wait and this is already an epic round up, the storytelling thing is not just LI either…it’s everything 😉

My problem is that almost all of the successful people on LinkedIn are people teaching others how to be successful on LinkedIn.

I’m so happy to be private and still be top creator in my area.

Good luck to that woman.

This breakdown is absolute gold, Callum! 💎

The distinction between writing for your ICP (buyers) and your IFP (champions who power the algorithm) is something 95% of creators miss. Without that broader champion layer, even the best expertise stays hidden in a vacuum.

Also, Lara’s take on never outsourcing comments hits home. In an AI-flooded feed, a thoughtful, human comment from the actual founder is where genuine trust and relationships are built.

Updating my profile headline right now. Thanks for sharing this playbook!

Having an email sequence is important, but before jumping into writing it, it's important to define the final goal of your newsletter and be very clear about what you want to sell and to whom.

Loved it!!!! Took so many notes and found it so inspiring because it’s literally the business model I’ve created with my biz Creating Forward but related to CMO work - consulting projects, fractional partnerships, and mentorship with my incubator and community offer~ it’s the content piece I’m working on…thanks for the notes!!
